Sticker & Decal Care
Vinyl Decals
All decals come with transfer tape over the design for application ease. You’ll use this transfer tape to apply the decal to your surface. These are the closest thing to permanent you can get, so when they’re on, they’re on. The work well on cars, showing they’re fully waterproof and VERY weather resistant.
Decals can be stubborn, so take your time, and if you have any issues please contact me. I’m happy to troubleshoot or replace anything that won’t behave.
Gently warm the decal to soften the adhesive (sunlight or a hair dryer both work)
Slowly peel it back at an angle
These are made to last, so some residue is normal after removal
Use rubbing alcohol or an adhesive remover to clean the surface
Please don’t scrape your surface — it can cause scratches
Vinyl Decal Removal
These are your “classic” stickers. They peel like your average sticker, but because they are made of vinyl and laminate instead of paper, they require a little more love. They’ll prove their worth if you take care of them properly. Great for laptops, phone cases, journals, water bottles, or any other flat surface that needs a little glow up.
Die-cut Stickers
Easy to apply, and easy to remove. However, die-cut stickers have adhesive that behaves a little differently than vinyl decal adhesive.
You generally can expect a fair amount of adhesive leftover after removing, which is normal.
Don’t panic if rubbing alcohol isn’t taking it off right away.
Try soaking the surface (if safe for the surface) for about 5 minutes and then gently scrub away the adhesive. Repeat until gone if necessary.
If this doesn’t work, adhesive removers will be your best friend.
Die-cut sticker adhesive is heat reactive, so the more heat it’s exposed to, the stickier they get. Which is the cause for extra leftover adhesive.
